Meet the girl with the "J" Name! (week #2)

Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Julianna (Julie-anne-a, not Julie-on-a) You might think it's a little strange that I stress the pronunciation of my name however, no matter how hard I try everyone still manages to get my name mixed up! I've been refered to as Juliet, Jessica, Jennifer, Julianne basically any female J name you can think of I have been called!

Now that we're on a first name basis let me tell you a little bit more about my story. I graduated from LCCC with a degree in Commercial Art Graphic Design/Advertising in May of 2021. My plan afterwards was to continue on to a 4 year school and get my bachelors. I had decided on a school and one of my professors was nice enough to set up a meeting with myself and the head of the art department at said school. When the time came for the meeting I could tell that the school and myself were not going to be a good match. After this I was lost and did not know what to do, I didn't want to move away from home at that time and felt like I wanted to learn a little more before entering the workforce. So, in the end I decided to return to LCCC for another degree, Integrated Media. I was nervous when starting this degree because it was focusing on a different element of graphic design that was unknown to me and I still was hoping I had made the right decision. At the end of my first semester in Integrated media I was offered a job by an augmented reality company! They had seen my work and thought I would be a great addition to their team! Thanks to them I discovered that I am a fast learner, self motivated and work very well in a team. So, I now am working as a member of their team and will graduate this May with my second degree!

Now let me tell you about who I am as an individual! I love to constantly create, even if its not for a job, making videos, making posters to hang in my room and arranging my albums on my book shelf is something that just makes me happy. I love listening to all different types of music and watching different lifestyle vlog's on YouTube in my free time!

When I meet new people I don't hesitate to take a chance on them and see if we can connect and be friends. Most people when they describe me say I am shy. To me it's more of that I have to be comfortable around you to show you who I really am, people are often shocked that I am very open once you get to know me. I know what it's like to be judged and be put down so when I'm with others I try to show them I am accepting of what ever makes them, them and who they choose to be. Another thing about me is that when situations seem sticky I turn them around and find the rational part of it to try and make them more positive!

Thanks for meeting me!
