Hoot Hoot I'm Certified! (Week #15)

I am proud to announce that today I took the hoot suite Social Marketing Certification Exam and am now certified! The questions on the certification exam was exactly everything I learned in different sections throughout the course- even if you just use social media the questions were easy to understand and answer! Now I'm off to graduation!

The future of interactive ads? (Week #10)

Image
When you take a look at most Motor Vehicle ads they tend to be interactive. The main way you see an interactive element with these ads is by "polls" where you can vote on a question the ad has asked you. Recently I was scrolling through twitter and saw the add in the photos above by the brand Lexus. My eyes lit up when I saw this ad! This is such a unique advertisement because you are able to click on the different colors and styles of the vehicles as well as spin them around to take a better look! All of this is right in the ad! No link clicking that takes you outside of twitter at all! They did include the "shop now" button as a way to get you to visit their website. This is such as incredible ad! I will be showing this to the company I work for! I hope to see more of these in the future!

Looking for a SIGN to download SIGNAL? (Week #9)

Chances are after you logged in you were asked to verify it was you and put in a security code or click a link to verify. Now think about every social media app you use this on and why do you do this? Security and protecting yourself in these digital times is important and very common- now think- do you have security on your messages? Your answer is that you most likely use the standard messaging app on your phone- so why change? I recently had the chance to try out the app SIGNAL. Signal is an app that has an easy to follow layout just like the messaging apps you are used to however- signal takes your security one step above the rest. Signal uses encrypted messaging- this means the only person who knows about your messages is you. Surely signal knows what I'...

Will rebranding to Meta be enough? (week 5)

Image
Photo by  Alexandr Podvalny  from  Pexels   Social media, TV, newspapers, magazines everyone is talking about the meta verse!! In my classes last semester we were told all about the metaverse and how it is the future. Let me break it down for you, every day we use multiple platforms for things, talking, gaming, messaging, etc. The metaverse takes all the platforms we use at one time and puts it into one application and or one world. I think facebook rebranding to meta is their way of being one of the first ones in a new technology. The rebrand can have its benefits as well as failures.

If you do not know what Hootsuite is, it is a platform that helps teach those on how to not only build a strong social media for themselves but how to manage it in their future day to day uses. This website was incredibly informative! Most of the times when we think about learning how to do something we immediately gravitate towards You-Tube. Hootsuite was so informative and easy to understand it’s a must use! Truly love it!

Meet the girl with the "J" Name! (week #2)

Image
Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Julianna (Julie-anne-a, not Julie-on-a) You might think it's a little strange that I stress the pronunciation of my name however, no matter how hard I try everyone still manages to get my name mixed up! I've been refered to as Juliet, Jessica, Jennifer, Julianne basically any female J name you can think of I have been called! Now that we're on a first name basis let me tell you a little bit more about my story. I graduated from LCCC with a degree in Commercial Art Graphic Design/Advertising in May of 2021. My plan afterwards was to continue on to a 4 year school and get my bachelors. I had decided on a school and one of my professors was nice enough to set up a meeting with myself and the head of the art department at said school. When the time came for the meeting I could tell that the school and myself were not going to be a good match. After this I was lost and did not know what to do, I didn't want to move away from home at that...
